A Unique Perspective on the Failed ATF Nomination
The Biden admin officially withdraws the nomination for the would be ATF director.
The Biden admin officially withdrew it’s nomination of David Chipman to head the ATF earlier today (9/9/21).
This is good news. Chipman is a certified redcoat, “proud 97%er,” and has been a senior advisor for the gun control advocacy group, Gifford’s since 2016. His report of the Waco incident helped absolve the ATF and FBI of any wrong doing, and he also helped lead “Fast and Furious," an ATF undercover op where they sold guns to the Mexican cartels in an attempt to track the flow of illegal arms through the border, some of those arms would later be used to murder US border patrol agents.
He was bad. Really bad, so bad that almost anyone would look like a star compared to him, and that’s the point.
He was nominated for two reasons: To placate the plebs that help drive the astroturf groups like Mom’s Demand (he was their guy), while simultaneously driving the Overton window so far to the extreme, that whoever follows him will seem like a reasonable choice.
There’s a reason you can’t find any pictures in news articles that don’t make him look like an idiot. There’s a reason that he was a disaster in every interview he has ever participated in.
If the establishment really wanted him, the media would have given him the Biden treatment. CNN would have made him a regular guest, lobbing him softball questions so he could deliver the pre-packaged answers that made him seem like a reasonable choice. Social media platforms would have run “fact check” campaigns for him, trying to discredit any information that made him look like the terrible candidate he was. It would have been a concerted effort from the entire media apparatus if he was actually their guy.
They will do that for the next one.
We knew we had a long four years ahead of us when Biden took office. It’s nice to stick it to the Bloomberg lackeys, because they really did want him. I’m going to enjoy the moment, but we have to continue the fight, and never make anything easy for them. Stay vigilant.
